Dr. Wael Abo-Auda has been in Clinical practice Since 2002. Prior to clinical practice, he was involved in Clinical Research as an Assistant Professor of Medicine at The University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB). He completed his Internal Medicine Residency at East Tennessee State University, TN, and his Cardiology fellowship at The University of Alabama at Birmingham in 2002. He completed his Interventional Cardiology fellowship at Oklahoma University.

As a Clinical Researcher, he was awarded the Harrison Scholar award during his Internal Medicine residency, and was nominated for the International Scholar award at UAB in 2002. He has conducted several clinical trials, and published a number of research and review articles. He has participated in the development of medical devices, and was awarded a patent as a co-inventor with Medtronic company. He has also co-founded “CardioTulip” a medical device company, and “W. Cardio” a product development company.

Dr. Abo-Auda is American Board of Internal Medicine (ABIM) certified in Internal Medicine, Clinical Cardiology, and Interventional Cardiology. He is also Board certified in Nuclear Cardiology, Echocardiography, Vascular Medicine, Endovascular Medicine, and Cardiac CT Angiography. Dr. Abo-Auda was inducted as a ‘Fellow” of the American College of Cardiology in 2005.

Dr. Wael Abo-Auda is much more than just a cardiologist. His clinical practices include clinical consultations, cardiac nuclear stress tests, echocardiography, vascular ultrasounds, holter monitoring, coronary and peripheral angiograms, angioplasty/stents, and Cardiovascular CT imaging. He is currently affiliated with Texoma Medical Center in Denison, THR/Presbyterian Hospital in Sherman, Baylor Medical Center in McKinney, and Baylor Heart Hospital in Plano. He has offices in Sherman and McKinney, TX.

Dr. Kamran Quddusi

kamranKamran Quddusi, a physician by training, earned his medical degree from the University of Karachi Sindh Medical College in Karachi, Pakistan. Kamran is not only a Certified Clinical Research Professional (CCRP), but also a Certified Clinical Research Associate (CCRA) with research experience on 50+ studies, covering wide range of medical specialties.

Kamran’s thorough understanding of the principles and practices of medicine make him ideally suited to oversee clinical research operations and study execution.

Kamran has served as Executive Director at Independent Clinical Research, Research Administrator and Practice Manager at Texas Renal Care and as the Medical and Health Services Manager and Research Administrator at Pri-Med Care all in the DFW Metroplex. In these positions, he was responsible for managing practice and research operations, as well as staff training and development.

Outside of Clinical Research, Kamran is a member of APPNA (Association of Pakistani-Descent Physicians of North America), SMCAANA (Sindh Medical College Alumni Association of North America), and SoCRA (Society of Clinical Research Associates).

In his free time, Kamran enjoys spending time with his wife and children, volunteering around the community, and playing golf.

Dr. Kai Markus

markusDr. Kai Markus is an active Entrepreneur and Manager in the medical device industry and has more than 20 years of working experience. This includes direct critical patient care as a cardiologist by training as well as participation as manager and entrepreneur in multiple class II and III therapeutic medical device projects, including cardiology, diabetes, cancer therapy, gynecology, spine surgery, tissue engineering, infectiology, implants and others.

Shannon Garcia

Shannon works as a Clinical Research Coordinator as part of our Research and Development team at CardioVoyage. She has a background in Biomedical Research, previously studying the effects of neuroinflammatory diseases in multiple models. Her extensive research experience has aided her in successfully conducting clinical trials for Dr. Abo-Auda and other physicians. She enjoys working on the frontier of medicine and studying innovative therapeutic approaches to enhance the lives of patients worldwide.
